Location
Situated on the edge of Coalbrookdale, just a short walk from the River Severn and the centre of Ironbridge, this attractive detached holiday home benefits from a large sitting out area. This picturesque town, once at the heart of the industrial world, is now a popular tourist destination, and guests of Dale Cottage benefit from free parking in the centre of Ironbridge. Its many museums trace the town’s rich history and the great iron bridge itself serves as a dramatic memorial to its past. Today, Ironbridge has a wonderful cluster of craft and souvenir shops, some great bars and restaurants, and no less than ten museums spread along the banks of the River Severn.
For those wishing to explore beyond the beauty of Ironbridge, there are many local towns of interest to discover: historic Bridgnorth, a town of two halves, is connected by a unique Victorian cliff railway, Madeley is home to a selection of listed buildings, most notably Madeley Court, while medieval Much Wenlock boasts half-timbered buildings, whipping posts and stocks. Beyond the towns, the countryside invites, with kayaking, canoeing, cycling, golf and fishing all available nearby. Walkers can explore the local footpaths and hills, or discover the stunning scenery that surrounds the celebrated ’Long Mynd’ or Long Mountain. Moreover, this area offers a wealth of castles, abbeys, gardens, parks and historic houses. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

“Couldn't have wished for a better short let. Walking distance to Ironbridge (5 mins) and right by the river. Easy to get to and parking for three cars!
The cottage was very well appointed and comfortable. The area was quiet and there was a Co-op store within 100 metres.
If the weather had been warmer we would have sat out on the patio and enjoyed the outside but the large windows made the cottage seem very open so we didn't miss out.”

“We were a party of 6 adults & the accommodation suited us well but would be equally suitable for a small family. It was well equipped close to all the Ironbridge attractions, restaurants & pubs etc. Unfortunately we picked the wettest week of the year for our annual get together but can't blame that on the cottage. A great welcome pack was provided which included tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, wine & a pork pie - a lovely touch. We would highly recommend & are even considering going back with our daughter & her family. Many Thanks.”
